Roma ladies making knitted hats

A church in Hawaii blessed the Roma ministry with looms and yarn. Brenda & Lindsay taught the Roma ladies how to make these really warm knitted hats. The ladies are really happy to see the fruit of their labors.
Thank you Jesus for the loving kindness of His children who blessed these women with these tools to be a blessing.
You can guess what some of their family members got for Christmas!!! :)

Jacqui is 17 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jacqui and her Birthday Cookie!!!!! She has been helping out at a cookie shop and this is what they blessed her with for her Birthday!! A GIANT COOKIE!!!!!
God has blessed us with a wonderful daughter for 17 years.
P.S. God has blessed us with 5 wonderful daughters!!!!!! :) :)

New Years with our Malaysian friends!!

We were blessed to have the girls spend New Years with us. They are medical students studying here in Krakow. They too, did not travel home for the holidays. So, we all enjoyed the holidays (Christmas & New years) together in our apartment in Krakow, Poland
The girls cooked a traditional Malaysian-Thai meal called Tam Yam. It was very good. Unlike anything we had ever eaten before, but very good. It had Squid, shrimp, crab, fish, chicken, tofu, lemon grass and lime leaves and a bunch of different veggies in a soup.
After dinner we all watched the fireworks outside. Poland is crazy with fireworks. It was like a war zone outside.
The girls spent the night with our girls. It was a late night and super fun!!!!!

Pray- MiHalina's Heart surgery

Please join us in intercessory prayer for our sister in Jesus.
MiHalina Gil (seen here in the Dark Blue dress) has been a believer in Jesus for almost 4 years now. She has 9 children and she is 43 years old. MiHalina  pronounced (Mee Ha leena) has had a blockage and has been on a waiting list for over 1 1/2 years to have an Angioplasty (balloon) surgery done. She was finally admitted yesterday and now her blockage is so bad they can not preform the Angioplasty. She is now waiting for consultation to have a bypass done this week?
Please pray for MiHalina and her family. She is really scared and and so are her Husband and children. MiHalina and Andrzej (Husband) have been blessed to see most of their grown children become believers in Jesus also. They are all praying non-stop and trusting in God's healing power.
Thank you for your prayers!!!!!!

szpital

Hey so for you guys keeping up with the Roma community, Mhelena (she's wearing the red shirt in one of the pictures below) is in the hospital for heart problems. She's had them for a while now and was in the hospital about a year ago for the same problem. So it's not new, but we're all praying for her healing. The whole community is worried about her and it's been a difficult couple of weeks for the community. So please pray for faith to be strong through this and that our hope would continue to be put in Christ.

Today, us ladies are going to attempt to learn how to make hats from these loom things that were sent by a church in the states. We have the yarn. We have the looms. We have the instructions with pictures. So hopefully it'll be a successful trial run afternoon. Pictures to come.

Celebration

So after a sad day Saturday, we went to 2nd Baptist Sunday morning for a celebration. The Roma children had been asked to sing some songs and to dance after the service. It was a great time--great food, great dancing, great people.

Prayers are needed

Many of you have been praying for Ola & Andrzej Mirga and their son Zachariasz. Please keep praying for Ola & Andrzej as they grieve the loss of another child. Zachariasz went to be with Jesus Nov. 5, 2008
I added a photo of Ola & family that was taken this past August at a Roma family camp. It was Ola & Zachariasz's first chair lift ride up and down a mountain.
Tomorrow is the funeral. Please pray God will be glorified by the faithfulness and love for the Lord that Ola & Andrzej show while going through a very difficult time in their lives.
